Dance Nation

I was the assistant costume designer for Smith’s production of Dance Nation in fall of 2023, assisting Rex Tans. My main job was to work on the blood and injury effects that come up in the show. I spent a lot of time developing a liquid blood that could be made cheaply and wouldn’t stain synthetic fabrics before we shifted to the idea of a skin gash prosthetic.
